ELMASPECS GmbH was founded in 2018 by Dipl.-Ing. Peter Glörfeld and Dr. Myint Myint Sein, former managing directors of the Institut für Materialprüfung Glörfeld GmbH (www.img-labor.de) in Willich, Germany.
The operative business of ELMASPECS started in April 2019.
At the beginning of October 2021, the ELMASPECS GmbH team has expanded.
Up to more than 70 trace elements can be analyzed within one scan.
Apart from the main alloy compounds traces of detrimental elements have a considerable impact on the quality of the materials.
Special analysis techniques are used to analyze oxides and other ceramic materials and compounds for their purity.
Most conductive coating materials can be analyzed down to a layer thickness of a few micrometers (µm).
ELMASPECS offers chemical analysis of pure metals, alloys, oxides and other ceramic materials on trace and ultra-trace elements by using Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometer (GD-MS).
Increasing demand on the performance of high-tech materials often requires materials of extremely high purity with very low tolerance limits of contaminants in ppm and ppb level.
The analysis of such materials requires – in addition to appropriate instrumental equipment – a high degree of experience and expertise.
Dipl.- Ing. Peter Glörfeld who has over fifty years of experience in the field of chemical analysis, including over forty years’ experience of running his own independent chemical analysis laboratory company cooperates with Dr. Myint Myint Sein who has many years of experience in research and also in academic sector. This newly founded company ELMASPECS GmbH complies with high professional competence.
